Back to our "home" state

We survived the 12 hour drive back home from New Hampshire...all done in one day with one car packed full...the other car packed full with 3 crazed children and 2 cats.  Its good to be back in Virginia...especially so close to the beach.

We live one block from the bay...its the best place for little ones.  Calm waters...empty beaches...just a little piece of perfect.  I am not working...staying at home which is a new experience for me.  I'm not sure about this situation yet, as I truly miss work and friends.  I try to keep the children busy with activities and I promised my husband gourmet meals every night (what was I thinking?).  A trip to the beach is quite an ordeal...its like packing for a trip...and you are only out there a few hours!  The kids love it, Jazz has even found comfort in napping to the sounds of the water and the fresh breeze.  We are close to lots of shopping...I will not admit how many times I have been to Target...but it was missed!  There is an awesome fish market right down the road which could be dangerous.

We drove back to Charlottesville last week to spend some much needed time with family.  It was the first time my brother met Jazz and I got to see my sister pregnant!  We had some great BBQ's, a trip to Mint Springs and a few meals at the downtown mall.

Zoe Starts Kindergarten in a few weeks...I'm sad but happy at the same time.  Kids grow up so fast, time is going by so quickly.  We have gathered all the supplies, plus a new ladybug backpack!

Life is good at the beach. We are down to three months until New Zealand...so much to do in such little time.  I'm beginning to get nervous...so much unexpected.
